Symptoms of amblyopia:
- Eyes that turn in or out
- Eyes that do not appear to work together
- Difficulty judging depth perception
- Poorer vision in one eye
Treatment of amblyopia:
- Sometimes patching of the “good eye”
- Glasses may be needed to correct large refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism)
Amblyopia is diagnosed during a complete eye exam. No special tests are usually needed.
