What is Your Face Shape?
Do you have a round face, oval, square, diamond or heart shape? The following is a list of the various face shapes and the right frame for them.
Square Face
Strong angular jawline. Broad forehead and chine with equally wide cheekbones, forehead and jaw. This face is best complemented with a thinner frame with rounded frames to soften your features. Be sure the width is slightly wider than your cheekbones.
Round Face
Forehead, cheeks, and chin are similar in length and width, with soft cheekbones and jawline. This type of face is complemented with a rectangular frame with bolder angular lines. The frame should rest just above the cheekbones.
Oval Face
Slightly wider cheekbones with a narrowing at the forehead and chin, the oval shaped face is the most versatile shape to fit for frames. An oversized frame with varying colors and patterns to reflect the wearers personality will work great for an oval shaped face.
Diamond Face
Narrow forehead and chin, with angular jawline, wider cheekbones with full cheeks. Look for frames that draw attention to your eyes while bringing a softer contrast to angular features. Curved frames with delicate lines tend to be especially complementary for diamond-shaped face
Triangular Face
A triangle shape face consists of a narrow forehead with a wide jawline and chin. They are widest at the bottom and narrowest at the top. To compliment your features and add contrast, is is best to look for frames that feature a wider top and narrower bottom while mixing with round and angular shapes.
Heart Face
Heart shaped faces are widest at the brow and gradually narrow down through to the chin with high cheekbones. The heart shape face can be either long or round. When searching for the best frames for a heart shape face, get playful with opposites and look for winged-out or wide frames.
